The forms, briefly explained
- KG 1 – Kindergeld application: the Familienkasse's main form with your details, your partner and your bank account. One per family.
- Anlage Kind: a separate sheet for each child (date of birth, tax ID, relationship). Without it no Kindergeld is paid.
- Anlage EU: an extra sheet for citizens of another EU/EEA country – entry date, permanent residence right and employment. We fill it in automatically.
- Anlage Ausland: only if you, your partner or the child have a link abroad (work, residence or benefits in another country).
- Elterngeld application: every federal state has its own form (6 to 24 pages). We pick your state's form and fill it in from your answers.
- Income declaration: details of your income before the birth, with 12 payslips as proof. It determines how much Elterngeld you get.

FAQ
Is this a government service?
No. ElternKinderGeld is a private form-filling service. You submit the application to the Elterngeldstelle / Familienkasse yourself. Applying there is free; in some cases it is also possible online via ElterngeldDigital or the Familienkasse.
Which federal states are supported?
Elterngeld: all states except Saarland (in preparation). Kindergeld: nationwide (Familienkasse of the Federal Employment Agency).
What happens to my data?
Your entries stay in your browser. For checking and creating they are sent encrypted to our server (Google Cloud, Frankfurt), processed in memory and not stored. Payment is handled by Stripe.
What if I made a typo?
After purchase you can make corrections and download the dossier several times – for the same person and child.
Do I have to sign and post the application?
Yes. Print the PDF, sign it by hand and send it with the documents (e.g. birth certificate) to the competent office.
Can I get a refund?
No. Checking and preview are free so you can verify everything before buying. After payment delivery starts immediately and refunds (e.g. change of mind, input errors, rejection by the authority) are excluded. Typos can be corrected and re-downloaded for free. If creation fails technically you can retry without paying again; statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
